Unique Sheep Clubs

Another fun way to knit as a group is to join one of our many clubs. Our club members enjoy sharing their progress, commiserating over dropped stitches and celebrating each others finished projects!

Dear Customer,

The "Knitting Game" was introduced to the knitting world several years ago. This is a game where you have a random assortment of labeled yarns, you roll a die, or dice, and knit a couple of rows with the yarn labeled with the corresponding number you have rolled. At the end of a game you have a self fringed scarf.

The Todos Scarf pattern has been rewritten so that the Knitting Game can be played with the 6 different types of yarn in the kit. Not only is the Todos Scarf a fun scarf to knit, suitable for nearly any skill lever, but its also a wonderful way to "try out" several Unique Sheep yarns that you might not have used before.

Plurking Along

The Knitting Game is really fun to play in a group setting, so we have decided to set up a PAL -KAL (Plurk-a-long, knit-a-long) using our favorite social networking site- Plurk. You can buy one of our Todos kits from our website, and let us know who you are on Plurk so we can add you as a friend. Kelly is "Kelly E" and Laura is "Painty" on Plurk. Once we know who you are, we will add you to our Plurk Clique so we can all communicate on game day/night.

We are planning on running the PAL sometime in the beginning of April and would like for you to let us know what day/time would be ideal for you to participate. Please take our poll (click the button below) and we will set up the PAL-KAL to get maximum participation. Please make certain to vote before March 10th. We will announce the PAL-KAL date(s) on our blog and through email on March 11th.

The Project

Of course you will need a Todos kit to participate in the game. The kit comes with 2 fingering weight yarns, 2 mohair blend yarns, and 2 DK, or worsted, weight yarns. You pick a base color from our color page (excluding Gradiance colorways) and we will use that colorway as the basis for making your kit. We will also include a 6 sided die so you can take a turn(s) on rolling on Game night. Also, you will probably not finish your scarf during the game, so you will have the die to continue playing on your own until your scarf is finished.

We will be offering a 15% discount on the kit until Marth 20th-you will need to order it by then in order to receive it in time for the PAL KAL.
