Miss the KAL? The pattern is now available as a PDF!
Join us as we venture deep into the Enchanted Wood. No one knows what waits inside, but whispers of lace and hints of color becken us forward through the trees. Holding hands we'll venture forth, around each corner to see what lies beyond. What will you discover in the Enchanted Wood? The Enchanted Wood Knitting Club is a mystery lace knitting club. Janine le Cras designed a stunning circular shawl for our first mystery KAL club, The Secret Garden, and we had so much fun that we asked her to design another shawl for us. This time, however, the shawl will be triangular. Your yarn choices are Tinsel Toes, Luxe, Verve or Green Sheep Fingering and you can choose a regular colorway or one of our Gradiance colorways. You also have the option of including beads. We will be using high quality beads supplied by Earth Faire and will pick out a color that will coordinate with the colorway you choose. Or, you can supply your own beads (bead requirements TBA). We will ship yarns in time for you to begin knitting the 1st clue in January. As winter deepens, we'll stay warm together as we knit row by row, clue by clue deeper into the woods. Sign up now and your yarn will be shipped in time for the start date of January 10th. The pattern will be emailed to you in pieces. On January 10th you'll receive the instructions for the first part of the pattern. In the following weeks you'll receive the rest of the pattern, bit by bit. But you won't see a finished picture of the shawl until the very end! We'd love to have you join us on this knitting adventure. Because when the winter chill keeps us huddled inside by the glow of the fire (or the laptop), whats better than a little intrigue and mystery? Announcements and conversation will take place on the Ravelry group board so please join us there! The designer (Janine le Cras) and the dyers (Kelly Eells and Laura Lough) will be active on the Ravelry board as well as on Plurk to answer questions about the pattern and cheer you on! If you'd like to add beads to your shawl, you'll need a large eyed beading needle and a very thin crochet hook. We recommend buying both from Earth Faire. Price: $80 for the pattern and 300g of yarn; $10 extra for Bead option; $10 extra for International shipping
