Information for Designers

For designers interested in writting patterns using Unique Sheep yarns, this is the way we normally do things:

we provide the yarn for the sample, which we keep (we use it for photo shoots, trunk shows, fiber shows, etc)
designer knits the sample and then provides us with a finished pattern; for new designers we will help edit and find test knitters for the pattern if we have time
the designer owns the pattern-- she has the copyright and selling rights
the designer is free to sell the pattern elsewhere, though we do ask that it list in the "materials" section our yarns
we sell the pattern and pay the designer the wholesale price for the pattern (this varies depending on the pattern but ranges from about $2-5, so the retail prices would be about $4-10)--- we can do the printing ourselves, use your printed patterns, or sell the pattern as a pdf, depending on your preferences!
