Butterfly Kisses Scarf
for use with 100g Gradiance Sets

Yarn: 100g Tinsel Toes

Picot Cast On
1) Cast on 5 sts using the Knit Cast on
2) Bind off 2 sts
3) Slip the lone stitch back onto the left needle


Repeat these 3 steps until required number of sts are cast on


Needles: US Size 5
Gauge: 5sts = 1”and 6 rows = 1” in pattern


Pattern is for a scarf measuring 58” in length and using all 100g of yarn. For a shorter scarf, knit each color segment shorter. Each color segment should be slightly less than 25% of the total desired length.


Using Color 1, cast on 36sts using the Picot Cast On method.
Begin lace pattern.


Rows 1 and 3: *K2tog, (yo) twice, ssk; rep from *
Rows 2 and 4: *P1, (k1, kb1) into double yo, p1; rep from *
Rows 5 and 7: K2, *K2tog, (yo) twice, ssk; rep from *; end K2
Rows 6 and 8: P3, *(k1, kb1) into double yo, p2; rep from * end p1


When scarf measures 13.5”, or 2g/7yd of Color 1 remain begin first color transition. While continuing in lace pattern, work the following rows

_ _ _ _ 4 rows Color 1
_ _ _ _ 4 rows Color 2
_ _   2 rows Color 1
Continue in Color 2 only


When scarf measures 28”, or 2g/7yd of Color 2 remain begin next color transition. While continuing in lace pattern, work the following rows

_ _ 2 rows Color 3
_ _ _ _ 4 rows Color 2
_ _ _ _ 4 rows Color 3
_ _   2 rows Color 2
Continue in Color 3 only


When scarf measures 42.5”, or 2g/7yd of Color 3 remain begin next color transition. While continuing in lace pattern, work the following rows

Picot Bind Off
1) Cast on 2sts using the Knit Cast On
2) Bind off 4sts
3) Slip the lone stitch back onto the left needle


Repeat these 3 steps until all sts are bound off

_ _ _ _ 4 rows Color 4
_ _   2 rows Color 3
Continue in Color 4 only


When scarf measures 58” or you are nearly out of Color 4, bind off using picot bind off method.
