Crochet Baby Cardigan

Designed by Stitch Stud
Sample shown in Super Wool using Gradiance color technique and Pacific Sunset colorway
This pattern is written the same for all four sizes (preemie, 6-9month, 12-18month, 2yr), the only difference is in the yarn weight, hook size and gauge. For the smaller sizes you use thinner yarn and smaller hooks, and for the larger sizes you use thicker yarn and larger hooks. You may notice that the sizes listed contain some gaps-- if you want to knit a size in between the sizes listed simply adjust your gauge accordingly. Please remember, though, that babies don't follow sizing rules very well-- the 6month old in your life might actually fit into a 12month sized cardigan, or vice versa. Thankfully this cardigan makes for a great layering piece-- make it a little large and the baby can wear it as a jacket over a little sweater until he or she grows into it!
