It has been hard coming up with what to say about leaving The Unique Sheep. I am really looking forward to retiring but want everyone to know how much I appreciate all of you enabling me to create colors and dye yarn for you over the past 17 years. Hearing from happy customers, seeing finished projects made with our yarn, and getting to know some of you on a personal level has been wonderful.
I want to give a special thank you to Ellen, owner of Earthfaire. She has been a wholesale customer since before Laura and I became partners, when I was “Liisu Yarns”. Collaborations with her and a few talented knit designers have been a very fulfilling part of my job. She and Laura will be doing some special projects together in the future. Make sure you keep an eye on the Earthfaire website, as I know Ellen is always bringing in special kits, fun extras, and useful tools.
My part in the Unique Sheep and our Gradiance yarn would never have been possible without Laura. I am forever grateful to her, and there are not enough positive words to convey to everyone what an amazing partner she has been. She is smart, creative, and a hard worker. I cannot think of many people in my life who I trust more. We can all look forward to seeing what she has in the future with The Unique Sheep and all of her other creative endeavors!
